Mike Buchanan is the owner of Project Swish. He is in his 12th year as a basketball trainer, having worked
with hundreds of players from dozens of boys/girls Rec, Travel,
AAU, High School and College teams.
He was an Assistant Coach with college women and men for five years and Head Coach with high school girls
for the past seven. He focuses on fundamentals and conditioning, specifically
shooting, dribbling and offensive moves.
Mike's Philosophy: "To
become as complete a player as possible, you need more than AAU and Leagues.
You need to add in skill work, and lots of it. We will improve your
dribbling, quicken your footwork, up your free throw % and make you a
better overall shooter."
Dr. Dish: The Dr. Dish is a state-of-the-art basketball training aid. Imagine shooting, without having to chase down missed shots. The Dish rebounds for you, passes to you and gets you more shots in a short time than you could ever get on your own. It will maximize repetitions and create more arc in your shot. With the Dish and Mike's supervision, a player can make adjustments in form and then get the
necessary REPS to create a better shot.
Video Analysis: Mike can video-tape your shot, and then immediately watch it with you on his laptop, stopping at points to note flaws in form. Then you go right back on the court for more shooting to correct those errors. With enough REPS, you will create a "new and improved" shot. "It's amazing how much improvement a player can make after video and REPS on the Dish. If I had this when I payed, I never would have left the gym!," says Mike.
